The brief was to promote the Graduate Programme of the Wellcome Trust to encourage more applicants.
Training Video example
(2015)This was one in a series of 3 instructional videos I made for King’s College’s teachers and professors on how to use the AV equipment in each classroom. I particularly enjoy making these kind of videos because I have also done teaching in my time and I enjoy it. I shot and edited this video and collaborated with Rob Howard from the Waterloo Campus for the final touches.
(2015)Crystal clear livestream is possible to provide if the venue has internet speed of 50Mbps or more. I use You Tube, my equipment and the Wirecast livestream software which allows of live titling.
(2014)This was some work I did for a regular client. There are many variations of split screen that one can do for powerpoint talks. I currently film, using remotely controlled cameras, about 4 speakers per week at the Royal Society of Medicine.
Event Summary examples
(2014) The client asked me to summarise the full day’s conference in any way that I desired to at most 15mins. After a light introduction I chose to edit the points that I found most mind blowing in the conference. The client was very pleased with the result I am glad to report.
I understand the importance of capturing live events correctly from the beginning because fixing in post is not often an option. I make every effort to ensure a high quality of sound and because I am an AV technician as well I know how to speak to the AV venue technicians to encourage them to do that extra 5 minutes of work which some are intensely resistant to, to ensure the best quality sound for my clients.
In my recent post at the Royal Society of Medicine I have videoed recorded using up to 4 camera remotely controlled cameras. The RSMs kit includes among other gems the Roland V-40HD Video Switcher, Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel, Panasonic AW-RP120GJ, numerous Panasonic AW-HE40SK cameras and some other goodies. Its been a delight using such high end gear.
